by jlt999 (Posted Mon Oct 05, 2009 11:41 pm)
The "profit" deals come from stacking deals. It's not unusual that you find a CVS extra buck deal that provided free to near free pricing. For example, on sale for $1.99 and $1.99 ECB = free. If you purchase with a manufacturer coupon, you pay less than $1.99 to purchase but still get the same $1.99 ECB so there's the "profit" in the deal. A single transaction can include one or more of the following: sale price, ECB, store coupon, manufacturer coupon, manufacturer mail-in rebate and/or secondary incentive such as UPromise so there are many opportunities for matching up deals to save more than CVS deals alone.

If you're not getting these results, e-mail corporate and take the reply to your store next time you're doing this type of transaction.

by jlt999 (Posted Sat Sep 19, 2009 3:34 pm)
I'd recommend a call to corporate to verify the formal policy. While I don't make a habit of returning items to CVS, I've never been asked for D/L number when returning to any stores. AtT most, they ask me to write out name/address info and verify with D/L but never record the number. It's important to loss prevention efforts to ensure nobody's abusing the return system but it sounds like your store is getting a bit zealous.

by 904click (Posted Wed Sep 02, 2009 2:00 am)
NOW I saw that as WRONG. but she can argue that according to CVS policy, she is entitle to use two coupons on a b1g1 free sale, they never specify what type of coupons. But here is how I see it, you can use TWO $/1 coupon, because each one attach itself to ONE item, therefore you can use TWO, BUT a b1g1 FREE coupon attaches itself to TWO items, that is why you can ONLY use ONE.

my thoughts are if i scan it, put it in a bag, pay tax on it- its a purchase. Any thing you run across a register is a purchase. Rationale if you put it in your purse that's stealing. Scanning it makes it a purchase.

If any of you see that she did the right thing. How about this: same sale. b1g1 free CG powder. I get 2 powders, A&B.. and I have two coupons for b1g1 free POWDER.. should I be able to use BOTH coupons,, getting a total of FOUR powders for the price of ONE???? NOOOO I can for sure use ONE b1g1coupon, but NOT two.

Good question i've never tried this

-6. If I have two coupons, one for "FREE tub of wipes with purchase of Pampers diapers" and one for " SAVE $2 off Pampers diaper" --- If I am going into the store, BUYING ONE pack of pampers, should I be able to use BOTH coupons???
NO!! --- I can either use this or that. They can either give me a FREE tub of wipes OR take $2 off my diapers.. but I cannot use both coupons. Even if you argue that the "$2" is for the diapers and the "FREE" coupon is for the wipes.. I am only getting the wipes FREE b/c I am buying the diaper. This again goes to "ONE PER PURCHASE",, I cannot use both coupons for the purchase of ONE pack of pampers, NOW if I have $2 OFF pampers and $1 OFF wipes, then YES I can use BOTH coupons for the purchase of both.

answer: no, one coupon per item. You can use both.

----Im sorry- Erica, but I am still a bit upset that you did that whole febreze thing. You got One aresole and one fabric spray. Had the coupon for "buy fabric spray and get aresole FREE" saving you $3.00 and YOU added the .50 coupon for the fabric spray as well. Yes I know you said the the $3 coupon was for the aresole and the .50 coupon was for the fabric spray,, but you are buying ONE and using two coupons.--- I still LOVE you I do. I am soo happy that you are out there doing what it is you do and on the way encouraging others to use coupons as well. But here is the thing, people who just started look to you as a guide and ...yes its a gray area,,

answer i would have done the same thing

Im sorry but couponing can get so confusing sometimes. But when I read into people using the b1g1 free coupon for the HS shampoo/conditioner and ALSO using the $2/2... I mean, it is good that they are saving money, but isn't it wrong to get 2 bottles, using 1 b1g1 free coupon & a $2/2 coupon?

answer: i did this several times
